BRIDGEWORK
A “bridge” is a prosthetic tooth, used to replace one or more missing teeth and is normally attached to 1 or 2 neighbouring natural teeth. Like a crown, a bridge is a fixed restoration i.e. it cannot be removed from the mouth.
How long do bridges last for?
Although bridges have an average lifespan of 10-12 years, they can survive well in excess of 40 years when properly executed in a well-maintained mouth.
